Wow…I’m still buzzing!
This might just be my favourite shoot ever.
Alongside my photography work, I’m also a wellbeing assistant in a carehome - which means my days are filled with dancing, singing, crafting, and creating moments of joy with our residents. So when Mother’s Day was approaching, i had a little spark of an idea…
”What if we did a full photoshoot experience for the ladies?”
Work said yes - and that was it, i was off!
I brought in a floral backdrop, set up my lights, and raided my shoot wardrobe. Pearls, hats, tulle robes, vintage touches… the whole glamorous toolkit.
And honestly?
These women absolutely owned it.
Watching their faces light up when they saw themselves on the back of the camera was everything. Their smiles, their confidence, the way they slipped in top posing with barely any direction - it was pure magic. An honour to photograph them and to give them a moment where they felt celebrated, beautiful, and seen.
I’d love to do more of this.
