My very first model photoshoot was with Holly - that I met at a photo event and also she started out in modelling. I picked up a second-hand Canon EOS 350D, and honestly, that little camera changed everything. It taught me the basics of lenses, settings, and how a camera really feels in your hands.

So we planned a shoot at Clacton seafront. I packed a few fun outfits and a pair of retro skates, and off we went. The weather was perfect, the vibe was easy, and every time I checked the back of the camera, the photos were looking better and better.

I ended up taking over 1,000 photos - and in that huge pile were a handful of shots that made me think, yes… this is it.

Those first good images gave me such a rush of confidence. It was the moment I realised my journey into photography wasn’t just a hobby anymore.

It was the start of me becoming a photographer.
